The World Economic Forum (WEF) is going to be held in January 2021, with “The Great Reset” as the main topic.

The media is flooded with this new buzzword, but what exactly does The Great Reset mean?

The website claims that the lockdown caused a “7% decrease in global emissions in 2020” and the UN Environment programme said that we need to “cut global emissions by 7.6 percent every year” until 2030 to avoid destructive climate impacts.

The idea is to behave more sustainably even when the pandemic ends. The Great Reset website says in their white paper that we should “regenerate industries, economies, and societies for the better in the coming weeks, months, and years.”

An economic Great Reset?

The World Economic Forum (WEF) started The Great Reset initiative that is supposed to use a “unique window of opportunity to shape the recovery” of the Covid-19 crisis.

The Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Professor Klaus Schwab wrote that because of the Covid-19 crisis we could be facing the worst depression since the 1930s. But he also wrote that the depression is avoidable if all the countries and industries join together in a big world transformation – namely The Great Reset.

There are 3 main components of The Great Reset agenda writes Professor Klaus Schwab in the text “Now is the time for a ‘great reset’.”

1st component of the Great Reset

The first component is supposed to direct the market towards fairer outcomes, especially in the field of taxes, regulatory, and fiscal policy.

Governments should implement reforms that will make more fair outcomes and economic equality, resulting in a smaller gap between the rich and the poor.

Overall, the governments should create the conditions for a “stakeholder economy.”

Stakeholder economy or stakeholder capitalism is a system in which corporations are oriented to serve the interests of all their stakeholders (such as customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders, and local communities). It is different from the capitalism we have today, in which the company’s purpose is to maximize profit and increase shareholder value.

2nd component of the Great Reset

The second component is about thinking ahead – the idea is to make investments with equality and sustainability in mind, rather than investing to fix some old(er) problems.

3rd component of the Great Reset

The third priority of The Great Reset is supporting the public good (especially health and social challenges) by using the innovations of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

To conclude, Klaus Schwab wrotes:

“the pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine, and reset our world to create a healthier, more equitable, and more prosperous future.”

Another “crisis” may drive citizens to accept the idea of The Great Reset – climate change, according to The Hill.

They write that climate change could convince the world to completely alter its economy over the long run.

Sustainability and equality are great goals, but what is wrong with The Great Reset?

A German economist Norbert Häring is certain that the World Economic Forum doesn’t have pure intentions.

He believes that the “club of the world’s richest people and the largest nature-destroying corporations”, as he calls the WEF, wants to improve the state of the world just for its members.

“It’s not about a new start, but about steering and monopolizing the discussion about a possible radical new start. Freely based on the motto: If a movement could become dangerous for you and you cannot defeat it, establish yourself in the front row of it,” writes Häring.

“Leaders who think they possess the power to change the course of history are unsettling, but those who believe they control the destiny of the world are deluded and invariably become violent when human nature gets in the way of their grand plans.”, writes The Australian in their text “Davos ‘Great Reset’ plan has more holes than Swiss cheese.”

Dr. Jennifer Oriel, the author of the text on The Australian website, points out that both The Great Reset and the report Building Back Better: A Sustainable, Resilient Recovery after COVID-19, don’t have quantified targets and cost-to-benefit analysis. She writes that building towards sustainability means decarbonizing the economy and decentralizing electricity systems, which requires massive funding from states.

She also states the WEF believes that “COVID-19 is an opportunity to make a new economic order designed by globalists, regulated by unelected officials and funded by workers whose taxes will pay the price for social justice activism and mass decarbonization.”

The Great Reset critics

People who don’t believe that anything is done without some kind of interest behind the deed, are very skeptical about The Great Reset.

“The WEF agenda reeks with hypocrisy. When reading it, it looks like some radical left-wing platform you might see in the Black Lives Matter manifesto. Would one expect anything different? At the core of many of the left-wing agendas are redistribution policies to achieve “justice, equality, and fairness.” But to do this, elites would be the target. Do you honestly believe the elites are ready to do this? Besides, they could all collectively do this on their own – they wouldn’t need a sophisticated strategy to do this – just write the check,” writes Right Wire Report in their text “The Great Reset, A Dystopian Future?”.

In a long explication of The Great Reset, Tessa Lena explains that the super-wealthy want to stay that way by managing and controlling “every element of nature and every life form”.

The idea of The Great Reset, as it is seen in her blog, is to overcome privacy and let big companies and elites do with our private data whatever they believe is right while introducing the green worldwide dictatorship.

Portal for people who “think differently”, Renegade Inc. sees The Great Reset as an idea to which you must “comply or die”. The problem with the idea is the people who will run it – multinational companies, billionaires, the wealthy elite. “Any new world designed by the same people who presided over the last one, will not solve the fundamental ‘disease’ that has plagued humanity for centuries,” writes the portal.

Even sees The Great Reset as a way for the governments to make reforms in their favor in a “forceful manner without consent”.

The cryptocurrency website writes there is a fascist agenda behind The Great Reset and draws parallels between this new world order and famous George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984, as in that the Great Reset is going to happen without democratic conversation.

Is Covid-19 made on purpose so that The Great Reset can happen?

Are the globalists using the fear of Covid-19 to organize The Great Reset? Is it an opportunit for which will only be convenient for those who make decisions and have power?

Blogger John Slegers wonders if a “global pandemic was declared with the explicit goal of triggering such a Great Reset?” In the text, he is connecting the Fourth Industrial Revolution, The Great Reset, and Covid-19.

Slegers is making correlations between these topics as if they were intentionally orchestrated only to make conditions for The Great Reset.

“Regardless of whether our current situation is caused by incompetence or corruption, we need to hold our politicians accountable. We are currently experiencing the most unprecedented totalitarianism that is not likely to end anytime soon. We should not let fear cloud our judgment. We should not be afraid to ask questions about why Covid-19 is changing our lives. We should not be afraid to ponder whether all these measures we’re facing a really driven by health concerns or by other, more nefarious agendas.”, writes Slegers.

That kind of opinion is popular among many, so you can find a lot of blog posts, tweets, Reddit discussions… with the same questions and doubts.

For The Great Reset to succeed, every country and every industry needs to be aboard with the idea and participate in the realization of the plan, as Klaus Schwab said.

But, there is still no plan on how to carry out such an idea.

In January 2021, all eyes will be on Davos and World Economic Forum, as the main topic will be The Great Reset.

The problem is not sustainability or equality, as it is mentioned in many texts from above, but the urgency of The Great Reset idea, which doesn’t leave people with enough time to discuss that plan and the consequences it may have on their lives.

“The present pandemic is a “golden opportunity” for radical change. And if Al Gore, Prince Charles, and the rest of the World Economic Forum can convince enough people that attempting to stop climate change is also worth dramatically pushing humanity toward greater government control, then radical – and catastrophic – change is exactly what we’re going to get”, is concluded in the text on The Hill website.
